Marathon Geiger MTB Challenge in Sibiu
Termin: Marathon Geiger MTB Challenge Sibiu
You have the opportunity to participate at the most difficult and technical international MTB marathon in Romania. This race is organized in
Sibiu by Geiger (official sponsor) and Procycling Team Sibiu. This race takes place yearly and has become a standard for MTB marathon in Romania.
Along with the rush of adrenaline we propose to visit the surroundings full of tradition and history of Sibiu. This is your chance!!!
Program
Day 1 Sibiu/Bucuresti/RO,
Regardless of where you are coming from we are at your service. Our guide will welcome you and together we will arrive to Sibiu for lodging
in a 3 or 4* Hotel.
Day 2: Sibiu/Hermannstadt, and the surroundings of Sibiu
After breakfast a short peek in history, an architectural masterpiece of medieval era. City tour. We will proceed toward Cisnadioara/Michelsberg,
a Saxon village, to visit the ruins of the Evangelical fortified church that operated as a small fortress. On the bike we continue to Cisnadie/Heltau,
to visit the fortified church and its tower. Free time in the afternoon.
Day3:Today we check out the race track. Today you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Dinner at Hotel.
Day 4: Most beautiful fortified churches of Transilvania
After breakfast we drive to Sighisoara. City tour. Sighisoara represents the best preserved medieval city of Romania. It is in the UNESCO list
and is known as the birth place of prince Vlad Tepes or the so called Count Dracula. Return to Sibiu in the afternoon. Race preparations.
Day 5 Geiger MTB Challenge
Today is your day to shine. Good luck!!!!
Day 6. Sibiu and the surroundings of Sibiu
Today is bringing us to over 2000 meters altitude to Bulea Fall and Bulea Lake. A day of rest on the second highest roads of Romania.
The road „Transfagarasan“ was built in the communist era. It has breathtaking views of high peaks, hardwood forest, coniferous forests,
waterfalls, lakes and long valleys. Perfect way to rest your body and train your sight! Lunch will be at the Bulea Lake Cabin, a cabin built
on the lake. Short hike and retun to Sibiu. Lodging in Sibiu.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport or train station.
Important information
Program changes, flight timetable do not enter our competencies. On Monday all museums are closed.
